Wierdabrug station gets facelift

The Wierdabrug police station received a makeover on Family day.

Spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said local community policing forums came together to clean and give the station a makeover on Monday.

She said CPF members painted the entrance gate, several poles and replaced the station’s signage, which now had “Our community police station” written on it.

“Books were also donated to our trauma room and food was provided to the on-duty shift officers.”

Huma said station commander Colonel Samuel Makama thanked residents for the great work they did.

Makama said the station remained a pivotal part of the community and always wanted to serve its community.
