Chairperson of Wierdabrug Sector 2 Leon Fouche said during a house robbery on Saturday in The Reeds, Centurion three suspects allegedly walked into a home where they took electronic appliances and a TV.

No one was reported injured and it was unknown whether the suspects fled on foot or in a vehicle.

A house burglary was also reported in the same area. Fouche said security and police were called to the scene but no arrests have yet been made.

Hannes du Buisson, a concerned citizen from Wierdabrug Sector 3, said in another incident a man was followed to his home in Valhalla after withdrawing cash from a bank.

Five armed robbers followed him in a charcoal-coloured BMW with unknown registration number.

“They held the man at gunpoint in his home and took a large amount of money and the owner’s car keys before fleeing the scene,” Du Buisson said.
