A gang broke into a house in Wierda Park, Centurion, on Wednesday morning.

Orange Fox security spokesperson Vanessa Jacobs said the men disabled the gate motor to gain access.

The men then forced open the security gate to discover that a 23-year-old man was in the house.

“It seems they didn’t expect that anyone was home. They threatened the man with a crowbar and took electronics.”

She said the men fled with three plasma TVs, a gaming console and various electronics.

“They fled in a car that was parked nearby. The robbery took about seven minutes and they were gone by the time we arrived.”

No one was injured and police were investigating.
