Local schools excel at drama fest

Pretoria schools took top spots in the Tshwane Drama Festival at Hoërskool Eldoraigne in Centurion on Saturday.

Hoërskool Eldoraigne clinched first and third place with I see you (ICU) Friendly Society and Reën respectively while Hoërskool Waterkloof came second with Wetters.

Liza du Plessis, Hoërskool Eldoraigne pupil, won the Best Actress award and Robert Hindley of Hoërskool Waterkloof scooped the Best Actor award. Hoërskool Eldoraigne Lanthé Sipsma took home the Most Promising Actor award.

More than ten schools, some from outside the province, took part in the festival.

The event was attended by hundreds of revellers.
