Centurion SARS robbed

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) office in Centurion was broken into and items stolen on Wednesday morning.

Police have confirmed the revenue service in Doringkloof was robbed of computer boxes at about 04:00.

Police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller said it was not known yet how many burglars there were.

“At this stage of the investigations the number of the culprits remains unknown until forensics have dusted for prints and can verify the number of perpetrators.”

He said the unknown number of burglars fled with a large number of computer boxes.

“We are investigating how they gained entry into the office and we expect to gain more information after forensics are done with the crime scene.”

A business robbery docket has been opened.

SARS had not responded to inquiries by the time of going to press..
