Cash and carry robbed in Pta

A total of R16 000 was stolen during a business robbery in Olievenhoutbosch on Friday.

Police spokesperson Constable Mandlakayise Zwane said this happened at a cash and carry in Salvation Street around 17:30.

“It is alleged 10 heavily armed men entered the store and forced everyone to lie down on the floor,” said Zwane.

“They demanded money from the tellers and took approximately R16 000 in cash.”

Zwane said the robbers left the scene in two Avanzas and a white Volkswagen Polo with no registration numbers.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Anyone with information was urged to contact Olievenhoutbosch police.
