The R21 road closure planned for Sunday, 13 August at the Flying Saucer interchange to replace an electricity supply line has been postponed, Eskom has announced.

Eskom spokesperson, Nkosana Sibuyi said the road would have been closed from 05:00 until 18:00 at the Flying Saucer interchange with Olifantsfontein Drive.

This flows from meeting held between Eskom and SANRAL on Thursday, 10 August 2017 which was aimed at re-assessing the appropriate contingencies, risks and concerns arising from the temporary road closures.

Accordingly, Eskom would inform all customers, road users and stakeholders of a new date once it has been confirmed.
