Man arrested in Centurion shoot-out

A man was arrested after a shoot-out with security officers in Centurion on Sunday.

Fidelity ADT relations manager Maurice Malan said one of their vehicles responded to an alarm for a burglary in Harry Street in Heuweloord Centurion.

“The suspects were loading items into their vehicle when our officers arrived on the scene around 14:00.”

Malan said a shoot-out ensued.

Four burglars fled, leaving one behind.

“During the ducking and diving the men left one of their own.”

The man was handed over to the police, Malan said.
