“The customer left the shop and the suspect made a phone call on his cellphone,” said Selepe.

“Two more suspects entered the shop and robbed Sateka at gunpoint.”

Selepe said as the robbers were about to leave, another customer tried to enter the shop.

She said one of the robbers asked his accomplices what to do with the shopkeeper and they told him to shoot him.

“The suspect shot the shopkeeper in the head in front of the customer.”

“They left the scene in a white bakkie with no number plates, driven by a fourth suspect.”

She said Drugo was declared dead on the scene.

“Residents with any information that can assist in apprehending the suspects can report to their nearest police station or contact 08600-10111.”
