Three armed robbers nabbed in Olievenhoutbosch

Three men who robbed a business in Pretoria West were arrested on Wednesday.

“On Friday, a group of armed men entered business premises in Olievenhoutbosch ext 36 shortly after 22:00 where they robbed the owner and his brother,” said police spokesperson Tumisang Moloto.

The robbers shot and killed one of the two men before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Moloto said a task team followed up information on the whereabouts of the robbers and the suspects were arrested in Pretoria West, Olievenhoutbosch ext 36 and 26.

A firearm was recovered in the process.

The task team consisted of Tshwane West Cluster detectives and was established to tackle serious and violent crimes in the area.

The suspects are aged between 36 and 45.

They are expected to appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court soon.

A case of murder and robbery has been opened.
