Centurion learners probed after robbery

A distraught Centurion father has laid a charge with the police after his 13-year old son was assaulted by high school learners.

Rudi Nel said his son and a friend were on their way to a local pizzeria when they were attacked by the high school students.

“They bruised him and they took his cellphone.”

“They [the high school students] were wearing Lyttelton Manor High School uniform.”

Nel said he laid a charge of assault and theft with the Lyttelton police.

Police spokesman Captain Dave Miller confirmed that the matter was being investigated by the police.

The Lyttelton Manor High School was not available for comment at the time of going to print.

An enquiry has been sent to the department of education and its response is being awaited.
