Olievenhoutbosch police stop criminals in their tracks

Four men were arrested on Wednesday on various charges in Olievenhoutbosch.

Police spokesperson Constable Kate Selepe said three men aged between 19 and 34 were arrested on Wednesday morning for a series of house robberies in extensions 36 and 37 in Olievenhoutbosch.

Selepe said later on Wednesday evening, a 32-year-old man was arrested for murder and robbery.

She said the suspect allegedly stabbed a man to death at a popular hangout spot in Olievenhoutbosch extension 19.

Selepe said the victim died of stab wounds to the chest and shoulder.

“A passing police patrol was stopped by a member of the public, who pointed the suspect out,” said Selepe.

The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
