Residents of The Reeds have been without power since Saturday evening after a substation was vandalised.
Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said only some parts of The Reeds were affected.
“The Reeds’ south substation was vandalised. Fortunately, this did not result in [a full] power outage affecting power supply to [all] consumers. The power supply to consumers will be switched off later today when the team is there to repair damaged components,†he said.
“The power should be restored later today or this evening.â€

McDonald said the Tshwane metro have been working tirelessly to ensure that the power was back as soon as possible.
