Pretoria would not be affected by extreme weather conditions expected to affect some parts of the country on Friday, the SA weather service has said.
“No warnings have been sent out for Pretoria. We are expecting a partly cloudy weekend,” said forecaster Jan Vermeulen.
The weather service had earlier sent a warning of heavy rain, severe thunderstorms (producing hail and strong damaging winds) and very cold conditions.
Strong winds prevailed in Pretoria on Thursday.
The weather service said Friday was expected to be partly cloudy with possible light showers and temperatures were expected to peak at 20°C.
Saturday will be cooler and partly cloudy with a minimum of 8°C and a maximum of 18°C, while Sunday was expected to be warmer, although partly cloudy, with a minimum of 9°C and a maximum of 23°C.
